Chicago Campus Ministry

Welcome to the Sheil Catholic Center Chicago Campus!

The Sheil Catholic Center maintains an active presence on Northwestern University’s Chicago Campus for the students, faculty and staff at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern School of Law, the Department of Physical Therapy and the School of Continuing Studies.

Clarissa Aljentera, the fulltime campus minister on the Chicago Campus, is available to assist with religious and spiritual matters or simply to talk. Through our presence, we hope to help you clarify values in a time of intellectual exploration and professional development, as well as develop a healthy sense of Catholic identity and community.

We offer numerous opportunities to get involved, including:

  • Weekly Mass. Mass is held Wednesdays at 12:05pm in the Religious Life Center on the Mezzanine level of Abbott Hall.

  • Catholic Medical Students Association. This group connects medical students at the Feinberg School of Medicine to develop and share their faith. Learn more about the Catholic Medical Students Association >

  • St. Thomas More Society. This group aims to foster community among law students within the Catholic tradition. Learn more about the St. Thomas More Society >

Other prayer opportunities, lectures, discussions, service projects and social gatherings, as well as interaction with other faith groups, are available throughout the academic year and will be posted on our Event Calendar.
