The Sheil Catholic Center gives students the opportunity to deepen their faith with God each quarter through a variety of retreats. The retreat programs are led by a team of students and the Sheil staff. Each retreat is held in a sacred setting with ample time for prayer, reflection and conversation.

- Class Retreats
Our Fall and Spring Retreats are led by Sheil students and created especially for their peers. The retreats are centered around peer witness talks, small group sharing and time spent outdoors. With plenty of time for quiet prayer and reflection, retreats are a great opportunity for students to get away from campus and focus on their relationship with God.
Weekend Retreats are typically held at St. Benedict's Abbey in Benet Lake, Wisconsin. Students leave after classes on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon; transportation is provided. Weekend retreats cost $45, and scholarships are available.
Upcoming Weekend Retreats will be held:
- Spring Retreat 2012: May 11-13, 2012

Almost-Silent Retreat - December 12-14, 2011
For this unique retreat, students and associates are invited to spend a few days praying with the monks at the Trappist Monastery in New Melleray, Iowa. This "mostly silent" retreat offers the opportunity for extended quiet reflection and the option for individual conversation with an experienced spiritual director.
Registration information will be posted here when available.

Our most popular retreat experience, the Busy Student Retreat provides an opportunity for students to go on retreat without ever leaving campus. This week-long retreat during Winter Quarter is a chance for students to find time for God and focus on their personal relationship with Christ.
For one week, students commit to a half-hour of prayer and a half-hour meeting with a Spiritual Companion each day, and can also attend evening reflections.
The next Busy Student Retreat will be held February 26 to March 1, 2012.
